Summer Vacay Recap

We're back!! We took two weeks off for a little summer fun, but were back now and we are recapping Kiara's trip to Vegas and Utah, and Yessenia's trip to Cancun. You know us, we're all about cracking jokes, and laughing but we get down and deep in some real issues. Mother’s Day Self Care

In this episode we recap our weekend, to include our early morning Mother's Day adventure together. We talk about what self care means to us, and how we should practice it. We dive in to bits of our birth story journey's and a glimpse at our struggle with post-pardum depression and anxiety. We discuss how flawed the medical care world after birth is. We end with a hilarious story of Yessenia's 16 year old getting in trouble at school and how she kept from laughing when she got a call from the principal. Parenting Tweens

In this episode Kiara has another "things that only happen to you" segment, although, she's convinced she's not the only one this has happened to. We also randomly get in to discussion on whether you should rinse your meat or not. We take a shallow dive in to experiences with pervy men and protecting our children. We also experience Yessenia parenting a tween in real time and then we talk about how hard it is to ride this first wave of hormones with 9 year old girls.

In this weeks episode Kiara tells us about the random text she gets from a stranger which leads to him asking for advice, not the kind of advice she was expecting. We catch up with Yessenia and her big news! (GO VOTE!) Then we dive in to our topic of over thinking, what it means, why we do it, how we do it.

Sticking to your word

In this episode we chat a little about having your kids in sports and being the person that teaches them about commitment and not quitting. We also talk about a recent visit to church. Yessenia went for the first time in 6 years and she talks about how she also had to stick to word in parenting. We talk about policing yourself. Small ways you can make stressful things fun with your kids and change the mood. We talk a lot about our life in the last week.
We try to stick to one topic but if you're a new listener you'll soon realize we are constantly learning tiny lessons about life, parenting, and ourselves and sometimes recapping our week is the best way to sort through those moments and lessons.
